Somehow we've reached 60 episodes on our podcast and it's quite hard to believe. Did you know we were trouble when you first started listening? While Rachel and Sam are still reeling and buzzing over the recent Grammy's night, Taylor is jetting off to perform her first shows of 2024 in Japan! The song for this episode, though iconic, is far from our favorite. But oh what fun it is to theorize on the subject! We break down the music video which is REQUIRED material before listening to our analysis. Then, as natural siblings do, we get into quite the tizzy about a certain someone. We won't spoil much, but that someone's name sounds an awful lot like Juan Mayo. Rachel does use the word "sandwich" at one point....coincidence? A chicken nugget perhaps?

Places I’ve Never Been Mexican Martini

3 oz. Tequila

1.5 oz Lime Juice

1.5 oz. Triple Sec

1 oz Olive Brine

.5 oz Blood Orange juice

Shake everything with ice. Poor into chilled martini glass. Garnish with olives. Serves two, but you don’t have to share the stage if you don’t want to.

The GOAT

2 oz goat cheese washed tequila*

.5 oz lime juice

1 oz spiced pear syrup**

Jalapeno bitters

Add ingredients to shaker and shake with ice. Strain over fresh ice cube and garnish with pears or cinnamon stick.

*Add 1 Tbsp goat cheese to a jar and mash well with the back of a spoon. Add 6 oz tequila, place lid and shake well. Set jar in freezer overnight. The next day, strain tequila through fine mesh sieve or coffee filter to remove any solids.

**Add equal parts brown sugar and water to a pot and stir well. Add sliced pears and cinnamon sticks. Bring syrup to boil and reduce to simmer for 15-20 minutes.
